EZ37 Solutions Ltd (www.ez37solutions.org), organisers of the University of Ibadan and First Bank of Nigeria Career Fair 2023 (UI-FBN Career Fair), is delighted to share highlights of this remarkable event.
The UI-FBN Career Fair was held on November 3, 2023, at the International Conference Centre, University of Ibadan. It commenced with an inspiring speech by the distinguished Deputy Vice-Chancellor (University of Ibadan), Professor Oluyemisi A. Bamgbose (SAN); who represented the Vice-Chancellor, Professor K.O. Adebowale.
The event was themed “Global Careers: Navigating Opportunities Beyond Borders.” Driven by a passionate aim to connect students and graduates with industry, the UI-FBN Career Fair provided insight into opportunities for employment and workplace readiness. This aligned with the pioneers’ vision to propel participants toward a prosperous career and a brighter future.
Over 300 graduates and final-year students of the University were privileged to be addressed by the Chief Executive Officer of FirstBank Group, Dr. Adesola Kazeen Adeduntan (FCA); an alumnus of the University. In addition, the People and Culture Director of Japan Tobacco International (JTI), Innocent Obinwanne, delivered the Keynote address; “From Nigeria to the World: Evolving the Next Generation of Global Talents.”
The event also featured a panel discussion, where participants engaged Tolulope Afolayan, CEO of GIS Konsult; Gbolahan Jaiyesimi, Head of Career & Performance Management at FirstBank; and Dr. Ndidi M. Ofole from the Department of Guidance and Counselling, University of Ibadan. The discussion centred around “Equipping the Graduates of Today for the Future.”
Furthermore, valuable narratives were shared by top industry professionals including; Ayotunde Ariyo, Relationship Manager, Corporate Banking at FirstBank, who shared insights into his professional journey at FirstBank in a session titled “My FirstBank Journey.” As well as Rasheedat Edidi Balogun’s (HR Business Partner, Reckitt Nigeria) pulsating account of “Navigating the Corporate World Beyond the Classroom,” inspired by her own experiences.
At the twilight of the event, the vote of thanks was given by the Convener of the Career Fair Committee, Dr Olutoyin Fashae. In addition, Adaora Ayoade, CEO of EZ37 Solutions, expressed her delight at the significant presence of various organizations at the event. She also emphasized EZ37 Solutions’ commitment to supporting education at the highest level and bringing their values of People, Partnership, and Excellence to this initiative.

Before the UI-FBN Career Fair, EZ37 Solutions Ltd organised a virtual career masterclass on 1 November 2023. The hosts were distinguished leaders from non-profit, fintech, and the banking sector. The sessions had a laudable reception and featured lectures on;
● Professional Development and Continuous Learning by Edem Ossai, Africa Regional Network Coordinator NORRAG.
● Interview Skills for Career Success by Oluwafemi Dadah, Nigeria Council Representative, Deloitte Africa NextGen Advisory Council.
● Networking and Building Professional Relationships: by Yewande Jinadu, Head, People and Culture Traction Apps.
